In Gulangyu there is a music school, a well-equipped music hall, a symphony orchestra, a piano museum, many world-famous pianists and well-known pianist families. On weekends or holidays various concerts are often held by different organizations. Many families also hold piano or other musical instrument recitals or singing performances at that time.
