Recently, the organizing committee office has received the letter as regards supporting Xiamen to hold International Marathon Mayor Forum signed by Mr. Lamine Diack, the IAAF president. This supporting letter gives high praise to the Xiamen International Marathon Race that has been held only for six sessions, approves the Municiple Government of Xiamen and the Chinese Athletic Association to hold the International Marathon Mayor Forum, and invites mayors of marathon host cities over the world to attend the forum.
